Our Everett Local Moving Process

We’ve been serving customers like you since 1914, and if you’re moving into or out of an apartment, condominium or home, there’s no more experienced team to trust with your job.

We complete your move in three simple steps

Step one: Get a detailed estimate – Call our offices at (800) 426-4780 to start the estimate process! Schedule a visit from a move estimator today.

Step two: Receive an Order of Service – Your order of service maps out all of the services you have selected for your move and the costs associated with them.

Step three: Moving Day!

  • Your movers will arrive early and ready to work! If you choose packing services, your movers will begin carefully packing and loading your property.
  • From start to finish, your movers will log every item they move on an inventory called a “bill of lading.”
  • Once your move is complete, your mover will give you the bill of lading along with your order of service, marking your move as complete.

How to Choose a Local Moving Company in Everett

There are just two things to look for when trying to find the best local moving companies in Everett.

License and insurance status

  • Moving with a company that isn’t licensed or insured can put you into a very difficult situation if your items are lost or stolen.
  • You can verify a movers license status on the FMCSA mover lookup tool.

Online Reviews and Certifications:

  • Google, Yelp and even Facebook can tell you a lot about the track record of a moving company you’re considering.
  • Certifications and partnerships with organizations like the American Trucking Association and International Association of Movers mean a mover is endorsed by their industry peers.

FAQ

There are three main factors that decide the total cost of your move:

  • Level of service (Packing, number of hands needed, warehouse storage)
  • The time it takes to complete your move.
  • Amount of property you need to be moved.

Time is often the most costly of these three factors, which is why one of the best ways to make your move more affordable is by organizing and packing your home before your movers arrive.

Yes, you may need to purchase a parking permit on behalf of your moving company before your moving day arrives.

This is something that our customer support team will discuss with you well in advance of your moving day. Preparing for your moving day may involve:

  • Reserving parking spots
  • Reserving elevators in apartment buildings

Our customer support specialists are happy to help you with everything related to preparing for your moving day and may be able to handle some of these tasks on your behalf.

You do not need to tip your moving team, but if you do it is appreciated. We pay our movers for the time they spend on your job.

If you would like to do something to show your movers your appreciation for a job well done, you could instead leave a review and mention the names of the movers who made your job a great experience.
